ShiftPay

Overview

ShiftPay is designed for nurses, healthcare workers, and other shift workers across Canada and the United States. This policy explains what data is collected and how it is used.

Data We Collect

Without signing in — ShiftPay collects no personal data. All inputs (pay rates, hours, jurisdiction) are processed locally on your device and are never transmitted.

When you sign in with Google (optional) — We collect and store the following to enable cloud sync:

• Your Google account name and email address (for display only)
• Your Google profile photo URL
• Your calculation history (jurisdiction, hours, pay amount)
• Your saved rate presets (name, hourly rate, differentials)

This data is stored in Google Firestore (a Google Cloud database) and is linked to your Google account UID. It is never sold or shared with any third party.

You can delete your account data at any time by contacting us at privacy@senthapps.com.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

ShiftPay displays ads served by Google AdMob. To serve relevant ads, Google's Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect:

• Advertising ID (resettable device identifier)
• Device information (make, model, OS version)
• IP address (used to infer general location for ad targeting)
• App interaction data and diagnostics

This data is collected and processed by Google under their own privacy policy. You can review it at: policies.google.com/privacy

You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time via your device settings: Settings → Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID (Android 12+) or Opt out of Ads Personalisation (older Android).

Google Sign-In & Firebase

ShiftPay offers an optional Google Sign-In feature powered by Firebase Authentication. When you sign in:

• Firebase Auth stores your Google UID, display name, and email to identify your account
• Your history and presets are stored in Google Firestore under your account, accessible only to you
• Signing out removes all locally cached data from your device

Firebase is a Google service. Its privacy policy applies: firebase.google.com/support/privacy

Sign-in is entirely optional. The app works fully without an account.

Local Storage

ShiftPay uses a local SQLite database (Room) to store your calculation history and rate presets on-device. If you are not signed in, this data stays only on your device and is never transmitted. It can be cleared at any time by signing out or uninstalling the app.

Children's Privacy

ShiftPay is intended for adults (healthcare workers and shift employees). We do not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. The app is rated for general audiences and does not contain content directed at children.

Third-Party Services

ShiftPay integrates the following third-party SDKs:

• Google AdMob — displays ads (see Advertising section above)
• Firebase Authentication — optional Google Sign-In
• Google Firestore — optional cloud storage for signed-in users

We do not integrate Facebook, Crashlytics, or any analytics/crash reporting services.

Your Rights

Without an account: ShiftPay collects no personal data, so there is nothing to access, correct, or delete on our end.

With an account: You may request deletion of all your cloud-stored data (history, presets, and account info) by emailing privacy@senthapps.com. We will permanently delete your Firestore data within 30 days.

For data collected by Google AdMob, refer to Google's privacy tools at myaccount.google.com.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy if the app's features change. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
